Tom is a leading technology and innovation specialist, Company Director, and Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
Tom holds multiple patents in the field of communications and has technical and commercial knowledge in ICT, gained while working for global operators, network vendors, startups and consultancies.
Tom was responsible for the establishment of Cisco’s Innovation Central program across Australia and was responsible for the operation of the Perth and Sydney centres. He works with Australian entrepreneurs, industry, universities and government to accelerate digital transformation to improve business outcomes by integrating, creating, testing and validating technology solutions.
Tom is regarded as a technology and innovation leader in the local Western Australia ecosystem. Educated at Curtin University, he is the Chair of StartupWA’s Advisory Council and has experience working with and advising local startups and multinationals in Perth. In 2021 he was appointed an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University and a member of the Faculty Advisory Council - Science and Engineering.
