Matt Campbell currently serves as the Principal for Emergency Services at Rio Tinto where his team is responsible for technical advice, governance, assurance and standardised improvements for Rio Tinto’s 19 operations in Western Australia. He has been in this role for 2 years, 19 years in total with Rio Tinto, primarily in the Emergency Services field.
During this period he led several award winning projects, including BARRIO – a firefighter health risk reduction initiative, published 3 x Rescue Manuals for the business and an App and of course pioneering long range robotics in emergency response.
Prior to Rio Tinto, Matt served 8 years in the Royal Australian Navy.
