Andrew Johnstone is a Product Specialist in Cisco's Internet of Things business unit. He works on industrial solutions across multiple verticals including Mining, Transport and Utilities. Prior to his current position, Andrew spent over 8 years at HPE and Aruba in the areas of Datacentre, Campus and Wireless presales, assisting organizations to develop end to end architectures for both IT and OT applications. Andrew has worked in multiple sectors. As an academic, he taught Undergraduate and Masters students and also helped to develop Cisco Academy curriculum for CCNP Switching. Prior to this he worked in the United Kingdom in the diverse areas of Financial Analysis, Supply Chain coordination, plus networking design and delivery for international corporations.

He was originally trained and employed as a research Biotechnologist in the area of environmental bioremediation. Andrew subsequently gained a Masters of Science in Telecommunications Management and several industry certifications including Cisco CCNP in Routing and Switching, a CCDP and also HPE ASE certifications in networking areas. In his free time Andrew enjoys activities such as biking, skiing, Tai Chi and spending time with his family.
