Muchtazar is an experienced sustainability professional and has worked for several industrial enterprises since 2014.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Indonesia. On top of that, he received an SDG Pioneer award in 2019 from the United Nations Global Compact, being just the second Indonesian in the award history to receive the accolade.

In 2022, he earned an ESG Champion recognition from The Natural Resources Forum for his contribution to driving innovation, education and real change in implementing sustainability policies and strategies. Additionally, he has represented his country in various international forums, such as the UN Global Compact Leaders Week, One Young World Summit, Global Compact Network Singapore Youth Forum, and the Asian Circular Economy Leadership Academy.

Currently, he is working as a Sustainability Manager for Nickel Industries Limited, an Australian public company that emerges as a globally significant nickel producer.
