Brendan brings 20 years experience as an ESG advisor to listed companies, having helped to review, recommend and implement numerous ESG data management platforms. He is Managing Director of Decarbonate – a specialist Perth based ESG, climate risk and decarbonisation advisory business, supporting the mining sector.
Brendan is one of three people in Australia to sit on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Mining Standard Working Group. He is also a Peer Reviewer for the GRI climate change related disclosure standards (the GRI Energy, Emissions and Economic Performance standards). The GRI is the main ESG (environment, social, governance) reporting standard used by mining companies. The new GRI Mining Sector Standard is due for release in December.

• Digitalisation of ESG data – improving efficiency of data management and sustainability reporting, and how to choose a suitable software provider.

• Managing supply chain risks – and emerging regulatory requirements including around scope 3 GHG disclosures.
