Speaker Bio
A Perth based innovative mind, experienced across sectors, with years of boots on ground work in civil engineering projects, underground and open pit mining operations. Which has given me a unique perspective!

After launching and monetising a disruptive mining technology blog, I designed and commercialised an underground mining consumable now used in over 20 mines globally. I also successfully published my children’s book series, Working Deep Down, bringing mining stories to life for families around the world.

Running my blog made me see I had more to offer whilst still working deep underground; a blend of operational experience, and a genuine passion for helping others bring innovative ideas to life.

I’m driven by a simple mission: to elevate those around me as we collectively explore new ways to improve the mining industry.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the world’s leading mining houses and their innovation teams, and simultaneously I’ve grown my consumables business to over $100k in annual revenue! I am not just talking but walking!

In addition, my two mining children’s books have sold over 3,000 copies across Australia, Europe, and North America, and I’m excited to release my third title in 2025.

I want to make the mining industry better! Not just for those who rely on its materials, but for those who brave its rugged conditions every day. My goal is to help emerging ideas and businesses thrive in the Australian mining market and make a real impact.

From growing up as the poorest kid in an affluent private school to starting my career as an apprentice (thanks to a newspaper ad my dad spotted!). I’ve learned the value of resilience, hard work, and seizing opportunities. I’m committed to sharing everything I’ve learned along the way, with zero gatekeeping.

4 years have passed since I began this journey to try something away from front line mining, and my goal remains the same:
↳ To make mining safer, smarter, and more sustainable for everyone involved.
