Roze Wesby is the Head of Plant of Tomorrow at Holcim. Through Plants of Tomorrow, Holcim is boosting the competitive edge of its operations and products, and optimizing its environmental footprint.
Responsible for leading the largest roll-out of Industry 4.0 technologies in the building materials industry, Roze oversees a global team that scouts for, develops, deploys, scales and operates cutting-edge digital and process innovation technologies across more than 130 integrated cement plants and more than 50 countries. Since her appointment, Plants of Tomorrow has completed over 2000 deployments of Industry 4.0 technology across Holcim operations, collectively delivering CHF 100 Million in annual financial impact to business performance and saving more than half a million tonnes of CO2 from operations.

Over the last decade she has led Digital Transformation within and alongside process industries, building a track record in identifying new avenues for growth and innovation for business and their customers worldwide. Roze began her career as a cross-industry management consultant, where she executed complex and large-scale business transformations at clients from Manufacturing to Financial Services. Prior to joining Holcim, Roze was Global Director, Digital Transformation in Process Industries at ABB. During her tenure and equivalent roles in the Mining and Transportation sectors, she developed the digital solutions offering and sales pipeline based on value-engineering for the group. She is a Design Thinking practitioner and has specialized in identifying and leveraging new technologies, methodologies and commercial and business models to accelerate innovation at scale.

Roze is an industry thought leader and public speaker on digital transformation, and has acted as strategic advisor to national governments and the European Commissioners for Energy and Transportation.

She holds a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter, in the United Kingdom. She has acted as the Business Case Head Judge for Formula Student, the largest undergraduate automotive engineering competition in the world.
