Alvaro Orellana R., Dr.-Ing from Erlangen-Nürnberg University, Germany and Electronic Engineer from USM Chile. He is in charge of Engineering, Innovation & Quality at the Komatsu Remanufacturing Center in Chile, global mother plant for mining equipment remanufacturing.
His technical background has been power electronics and electrical drives, including the development of a SiC power converter, former developer of hybrid cars at Mercedes Benz in Germany, and currently leading design of reman processes, e.g. Komatsu global test benches, and technology projects.
