Benjamín Pérez
Partner and member of the mining, water law and environment departments. He specializes in mining project development, due diligence, M&A in the mining industry, on the regulatory and environmental angle of project development, water law and desalination projects, and mining and water law litigation.
Education and Professional Career

He is the President of the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce’s Mining Committee since 2018 and member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He is a regular speaker at the Mining and Water Law Sessions hosted at Universidad de Chile and has made several contributions and published articles in connection with water law in the mining industry.
In the academic field, he was a Professor of Mining Law at the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello (since 2019) and was professor of Commercial Law (2013-2018) at the same university. In addition, he was assistant professor of Indigenous Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2014).
