Speaker Bio
Since 1999, I have worked in public policy, research, and community development. I am passionate about creating positive social impact and advancing human rights and social justice. As the founder and CEO of SEASONOVA, a consulting firm that offers evidence-based and participatory solutions for governments and not-for-profit organizations, I leverage my expertise in policy analysis, program evaluation, and adult learning to support the development and implementation of people-centric policies, programs, and services. I am motivated by the vision of building agile and equitable systems that empower and include diverse communities and stakeholders.

Previously, I was the social enterprise business manager at CAWI City For All Women Initiative, where I managed the operations, finances, and partnerships of a women-led social enterprise that provides training and coaching on equity and inclusion. I have also worked as a senior policy analyst and manager at the Department of Justice, Government of Nova Scotia, where I led and supported various policy and research projects on justice reform, justice statistics and analytics, and access to justice. I was a Planning and Development Officer at the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women who was part of the national Federal/Provincial/Territorial forum that helped develop Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) in 2010/11. I continue to teach, coach, and apply GBA Plus in training, research, public engagement/consultation, and evaluation.
