From 2002 to 2018, Dessureault was a professor at the University of Arizona, engaged in research related to the integration and effective use of mining information systems. In 2004 he founded MISOM Technologies, a company that developed the FARA platform that brings together the Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, a tablet-based mobile app, and modern approaches such as big data and gamification to create innovative form digitization and fleet management. In late 2017 MISOM was acquired by MST Global, where he served as Chief Innovation Evangelist until he joined Mosaic as Vice President of Technology and Innovation in late 2019. In late 2023 he founded Dr Data Mining Inc., a company specializing in transforming data into action, leveraging advanced open-source AI, and performance gamification, through unique software and specialized operations performance improvement services.
