Arun Narayanan is the Chief Data Officer of Anglo American is responsible for shaping and leading the implementation of Anglo American's digital strategy. Arun leads the team that develops cutting edge digital solutions using the power of high quality data and data science to improve operational efficiencies. This program delivers production efficiencies and is also focused on improving the safety and sustainability of their operations.

Previously, Arun was with Schlumberger for more than 21 years, focused on building and executing best-in-class software for the oil and gas market. He has been instrumental in developing the software landscape of oil and gas software including the industry's first E&P data lake and also the first cloud-based offering. Arun held various technical and management positions within Schlumberger in the US and Asia. Arun holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
