Lynessa Moodley is a Geologist with over 10 years of experience in various roles in the Mining and Oil & Gas industries. She holds a Master’s in Energy from Heriot-Watt University in the UK, an Honours degree in Geology and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Having worked extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa and with multisector clients across the globe looking at growth consulting, Lynessa brings a unique worldview to her work.
As a Project Manager, Lynessa managed multicommodity mining assets (platinum, manganese, fluorspar, bauxite, tin, and coal) across Africa. She focused on running exploration programmes to move projects up the mining value curve and added commercial value through closing complex M&A transactions. She applied corporate governance frameworks across the portfolio as the controls to best inform business decisions and ensure compliance with environmental and social standards. Prior to her Project Management role, she worked as a Principal Consultant assisting clients in identifying, planning, and capturing growth opportunities across industries.
