Sunil is the VP – Energy Strategy and Engineering at Kinross Gold based in the Toronto corporate office. Kinross has made a commitment to a 30% reduction in its GHG emissions intensity by the year 2030.

He has overall responsibility for the company’s energy strategy which includes the selection and design of energy end-use equipment; power generation projects using renewable energy; energy efficiency; and implementation of new technologies. His experience encompasses strategy development, and project conceptualization through to execution. For its new development project, Kinross is currently assessing the application of electric vehicle technologies.
