Jahaida Batallanos is a global finance executive with 16+ years of experience across engineering, finance, strategy, and digital forged through lived experience across six countries, multiple commodities, and high-performing teams. Jahaida has led complex integrations, built future-focused functions, and deliberately moved across roles (maintenance, finance, performance, and digital) to broaden strategic and operational insight. At Rio Tinto, Jahaida governs the digital and technology portfolio and leads planning and performance frameworks across aluminium and lithium operations globally ($4B). Previously, Jahaida has built finance functions across three countries, executed regional debt placement ($1.5B) and embedded analytics into executive decision-making across a multi-asset portfolio. Jahaida has also led teams through system migrations, business integrations, and operating model redesigns.

Jahaida holds a dual Global Executive MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School and is fluent in English and Spanish, with conversational French. Jahaida is drawn to roles where the stakes are high, the path is not obvious, and the learning curve is steep.
