Kevin Dagenais is the CEO and co-founder of Cascadia Scientific. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in
Software and a Master of Applied Science in Control Systems, both from McMaster University. Kevin is also
a Professional Engineer registered in British Columbia. Kevin has extensive technical expertise in real-time
embedded systems, vehicle network integration, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). His work primarily focuses on decision intelligence as a platform service, equipment instrumentation, data
management, machine learning, and analytics. Kevin has presented at various conferences, including
Truck & Shovel, SME Conferences, and CIM. During these events, he discussed the applications of machine
learning models to reduce diesel consumption and support the transition to renewable energy sources.
Additionally, he has delivered seminars on topics such as the Controller Area Network (CAN) and mobile
mining equipment, providing valuable insights into on-board vehicle networks and maintenance tactics.
