Theunis van der Linde is a Senior Manager in Accenture’s Mining practice, based in Calgary. He helps mining companies translate improvement opportunities and digital solutions into measurable cost, throughput and safety value across projects and operations. Before joining Accenture, Theunis held leadership roles with Anglo American, Xstrata, Glencore and Conuma, spanning mining operations, major expansions and projects, P&L accountability, and operational and digital transformation. This industry experience gives him a practical perspective on what it takes to turn technology ambitions into solutions that deliver in the realities of a mining operation. At Accenture, Theunis works across the mining value chain, from the boardroom to the front line, helping clients navigate the intersection of technology, operating models and operational performance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering and an MBA. Outside of work, Theunis embraces Calgary winters while continuing to improve his snowboarding skills and plays cricket during the summer. As a lifelong cricket fan, he is particularly pleased to see the sport growing rapidly across Canada.
