Aida holds a degree in Mining Engineer (Metallurgy) and a M.Sc. in Mining Engineer, as well as a Master in Project Management. She started her career in ArcelorMittal as responsible for planning and scheduling of continuous casting of billets and wire rod mill in Gijón (Spain). After 3 years, she took the opportunity to move to Global R&D, where she developed several projects related to planning and scheduling, and supply chain modelling. She has since acquired more responsibilities, and in 2020 she became portfolio director of Digital Mining in Global R&D, a worldwide coordination role that ensures the consistency of Global R&D efforts to digitalize ArcelorMittal's Mining operations.
