Speaker Bio
By education, I am a mining engineer, who graduated in 2011 from RWTH Aachen University.
Based on my experience from various roles in engineering, sales, and product management during more than a decade at a Mining OEM with a focus on Surface Mining Equipment (ThyssenKrupp/FLS), I am now excited to serve the mining industry in tackling the variety of digital tools, solutions, and products on my new journey as Digital Mining Technologist. I am pushing into this topic with a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and I am passionate about the chances and possibilities of data analytics and digital solutions in mining. In this environment, I am eager to help in closing the gap between mining (operations) and IT, especially in structuring digitalization initiatives and roadmaps, developing user-centric use cases for real mining problems, and finally generating real business value by connecting meaningful digitalization onto those use cases.
The core of digitalization is to get meaningful use cases and get all relevant stakeholders on track. Thus, coming from a strong mining background, my ambition is to drive digitalization with a systematic and emergent approach and set the focus on user & human-centricity to guide this transformational process in depth.
