Zandile started her mining career at Gold Fields as a learner official. She left to diversify her exposure to other minerals and returned 17 years later as a strategy and business development lead. She is a registered professional mining engineer, certified to manage metalliferous mines. She is affiliated with ECSA, SAIMM, AMMSA, IODSA and the PMI.

Her current focus is on digital transformation, where she plays a key role in the streamlining and harmonizing South Deep’s value chain processes, technologies, people and ensuring preparedness for the changes the digital environment will invariably introduce at the operation.
