TOUR THE AUSTRALIAN AUTOMATION & ROBOTICS PRECINCT (AARP) FOR A SITE TOUR AND DEMO DAY

In collaboration with and ahead of the Digitalisation in Mining Conference in Perth Western Australia, we invite you to visit the new Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct, just 25 mins north of the Perth CBD. Tour Australia’s largest test, development demonstration and training ground for emerging automation and robotics systems and equipment, remote operations and zero emissions technology. The AARP caters to startups, small and medium-sized businesses, mi-tier miners and Tier 1 operators - across sectors including mining, resources and energy, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, defence and space.

NOTEThere is a complimentary tour bus on Thursday 23rd Nov for conference attendees leaving the Parmelia Hilton in the Perth CBD (14 Mill St) at 9.15am, returning back to the city at approx 1pm.

What can you expect?

Be part of the Precinct’s early days with a site tour and demo day, where several innovators will demonstrate their technology with open Q&A to conclude. A rough agenda for the morning is as follows: 

  • 9.15am: Complimentary tour bus service leaving the Parmelia Hilton, Perth CBD
  • 9.45am: Arrival at the AARP Site Office 
  • 10am: Welcome and Safety Briefing 
  • 10:10am: VIP Guest Address 
  • 10.15am: Innovator Introductions  
  • 10:25am: Site tour + Demos Commence 
  • 11:15am: Back to the AARP Site Office
  • 11:20am: Panel session & Open Q&A
  • 11:40am: Light refreshments and Netwoking 
  • 12:00 - 12:15pm: Tour Close + Complimentary tour bus service leaving back to the Parmelia Hilton, Perth CBD

The 51-hectare site, which has been made available by DevelopmentWA, the State Government of Western Australia’s central development agency, and being activated and operated by CORE Innovation Hub, includes multiple test beds that can accommodate a range of vehicles, equipment, field robots, drones and other technologies. It is an exciting chance to visit at the start of the journey as the Precinct develops and a vibrant innovation ecosystem is built up around it. The test areas are being developed to provide a Dirt Lab - Innovation Mine with drill pad, haul ramp, and load and unload areas as well as New Energy, Heavy Haul, Urban and Flex Zones for drones and collaborative projects.
